     Good Benefit
     1)One meat doe gives birth to 6-8 litters of rabbits every year. One litter has 8 rabbits. So the total rabbit production in one year is 48-64. It takes 75 days on average for one rabbit to grow from birth until ready for slaughter (weighing 2-2.5 kg at this time). If the price is 6-8 yuan per kg, the total income is 12-20 yuan for one rabbit. Deducting the cost of feed, labor, medicine and depreciation (around 6-8 yuan. 1.3-1.5 kg feed makes the rabbit grow a half kg. the feed is 0.9 yuan/kg; the labor cost is 0.50/rabbit, medicine and depreciation cost is 1 yuan. Rex rabbits grow slower, and eat more feed. It takes 5-6 months from birth to slaughter. It weighs around 2-2.5 kg at the slaughter time. The rex rabbit hide will be priced based on the hide quality. The average price is 10-30 yuan per hide. One kg of rex rabbit meat is also income, so the total income is 20-30 yuan. Taking into account of the cost, one rex doe makes 200-300 yuan a year.
     3) One wool-purpose doe delivers 4 litters, with 7-8 rabbits in one litter. Twenty-five rabbits could be ready for marketing every year. Every one rabbit sells for at least 8 yuan. So the income of selling young rabbits is 200 yuan. With the benefit from selling wool (0.8 kg), the total net income will be 300 yuan.

In coastal area of China, Sichuan and Chongqing, one rabbit has many different cuisine, which are all very popular. Toys and fashion garment made of rabbit hide and wool are widely accepted. Rabbit products are far below the market demand in both home and abroad.
    Indigenous Rabbit Raisig Mode
    1. Grass feeding only - suitable for rural poor small farmers. One couple are able to raise 25-50 breeding rabbits and their offspring.
