The first step to develop their livelihood of the Minsheng Cooperative------training to raise rabbits

On November 18, I and Gao Guizi , as a member of the 5.12 Civil Relief Service Center, drove to the Xinhe Village of the Guangji Town in Mianzhu, with a purpose of seeing the three day training of raising rabbits offered by the Dayi Rabbit King Research Center of Poverty Alleviation. It was the first step to develop their livelihood of the village cosponsored by the service center and the rabbit king research center.

It was very cold and the class was held in the open for almost all the houses had been destroyed by the earthquake. However, the villagers participated in the class were listening earnestly to the teacher, who was giving an inspiring lecture despite of the chilly weather. Raising questions from the villagers now and then and patient answers given by the teacher, it was a very good on spot training, at last with a simple rabbit shed built for demonstration using scrapped bricks and bamboo strips.
