The 5.12 Social Action Forum and Trade Affair of Non Profit Programs was held from August 12 to 14, 2009, in Beijing, with a purpose to summarize the experiences and promote the non-profit market for resources allocation, the activity organized by China Poverty Alleviation Fund and sponsored also by China Social Organization Promotion and Narada Foundation.
    During the Forum, Director Zhang Shuping attended a seminar on non-profit adventure and social enterprises, where she made a presentation on the practice of social enterprise. Deputy Director Ren Xuping attended the Seminar 3 on exchanges of experiences and lessons of reconstruction after the earthquake.
    The life rehabilitation and eco-system reconstruction program for Yanmen Xiang of Wenchuan designed by the Rabbit King Research Center of Poverty Alleviation was selected for evaluation of model projects of 2009 China Philanthropic Guide Action.
    The Forum was widely reported by China Central TV, People’s Forum Journal of the Peoples Daily, Jurisprudence Daily, Chinese People’s Political Consultative Journal, China Social Work Association, China News Week, Zhongguancun Week-Science Times, Zhuozhuo Web and Rural Women Journal.
