Honors of the Rabbit King of China
  1.   In 1982, Wenjiang Prefecture government recognized Ren Xuping for his excellent achievement in agricultural technical extension.
   2.   in 1983, Mr. Yang Rudai, (then General Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, and now deputy Chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) said to Ren Xuping very happily, "Veryt good. You will have bright future. Every business makes a king. You are the king in raising rabbit. Hence the name of "Rabbit King of China."
    3.   In May 1983, Sichuan Provincial Party League Committee recognized Ren Xuping as the "Advanced league member in learning and utilizing Science and Technology."
   4.   In March 1984, the Central Party League Committee, China Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery, China Association of Science and Technology, recognized Ren Xuping as the "Model Youth in learning and using Science." This award was given in Zhong Nanhai, China's Top Leaders' residence. Deputy Prime Minister Wan Li distributed the award to Ren. The Secretary of the Central Party League Committee received Ren Xuping twice.
   5.   In March 1984, Chengdu City Committee of the China Party League Committee recognized Ren Xuping as "Model Youth of Specialized Farm Families."
   6.   In May 1984, Chengdu City Committee and City government recognized Ren Xuping with the award of "Glorious Man Becoming Rich by Working Hard."
   7.   In January 1985, Dayi County Government and the County Party Committee rewarded Ren Xuping "Leading farmers to Work Hard for Better Life and Developing Production," and the award of "Dayi County Advanced Worker."
   8.   In April 1985, Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Central League Committee recognized Ren Xuping with "Advanced Individual in the New Long March."
   9.   In July 1985, Dayi County Millitary Department recognized Ren Xuping "Excellent Posseman in the Construction of the Two Civiliation."
   10.   In Spring Festival 1985, State leaders Deng Xiaoping and Wang Zhen inspected Sichuan. The Provincial Government and Committee held a Sping Festival ceremony, where Deng Xiaoping received Ren Xuping. He said to Ren, "It is not our goal that one gets rich. Our goal is to make all become rich." These words continued inspiring Ren Xuping in his efforts of developing scientific rabbit raising, leading many farmers to better life.
   11.   In December 1985, Sichuan Youth Union and the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee of Central League Committee recognized Ren Xuping "Excellent Individual in Making Contributions and Achievements."
   12.   In 1985 the Chengdu Youth Union organized its members to visit Xuping Rabbit Training School. They presented Xuping with a stele which reads "Becoming Rich by Working Hard." Mr. Li Banli, then famous calligrapher, presented Xuping with his work, "Great Ambition with Farreaching Goals." Both them spoke highly of Xuping's rabbit training school.
   13.   In 1986, the leader group of Dayi County Ten Thousand Youths Working for Better Life presented Xuping with the award of "Double Civilization."
   14.   In September 1987, representing the Youths in Sichuan who have made outstanding achievements, Ren Xuping joined the China Youth Representative Delegation to visit the DPRK. He was warmly welcomed by the President of DPRK.
   15.   In February 1987, Sichuan Provincial Rabbit Research council rewarded Ren Xuping with "Advanced Individual having contributed significantly to the rabbit industry of Sichuan Province."
   16.   In May 1988, Sichuan Provincial Youth Union, and the "Youth World" Magazine recongnized Ren Xuing "Advanced Youth in Sichuan."
   17.   In March 1989, Chengdu City Education Committee presented Xuping with "Advanced Worker in Adult Education in Sichuan." In
   18.   In April 1989, Dayi County "Ten Thousand Youths Running toward Better Life" recognized Xuping as "Leader in making ten thousand youths run for better life."
   19.   In September 1989, Dayi County Committee and the government recognized Xuing as advanced worker in "1987-1989."
   20.   In December 1989, Chengdu City Political Consultative Association recognized Xuping as "a Committee Member making outstanding achievements in the agricultural Frontline."
   21.   Iin June 1990, Ren Xuping was recognized as "Advanced Individual in the 1986-1990" during achievment contest ceremony of the State Youth Union, and League Committee.
   22.   In July 1990, Chengdu City Education Committee recognized Xuping Rabbit Training School as the "Advanced Group in Technical training in the rural area."
   23.   In May 1992, the League Committee of Sichan Provincial Committee, Chengdu City Government, Chengdu Youth Union, Sichuan People's Radio Station, Sichuan TV Station, and Chengdu Evening News recognized Xuping as "the Advanced Youth in making achievments for the seventh Five-Year Construction."
   24.   In 1992 and 1993, Chengdu City Education Committee recognized Ren Xuing as "Advanced Individual in running a social School."
   25.   In 1996, Dayi County Government and the county Agricultural Committee recognized Ren Xuping as an animal specialist.
   26.   In 1998, Chengdu Education Committee Xuping Rabbit Training School as the advanced unit in 1996-1997.
   27.   In 1998, Heifer International China Program recruited Xuping as a volunteer because of his outstanding achievements in leading farmers to get out of poverty.
    28.   In 1999, Heifer International China Program recognized Ren Xuping as the recipient of "Golden Talent Award."
   29.   In October 1999, the US Wall Street Journal reported Ren Xuping in the headline story - China's Rabbit King Pulls a Triumph Out of a Hare-Raising Experience, written by Mr. Peter Housler. This article respected Ren Xuping as the Rabbit king of China. China Reference News adapted this report in full content.
   30.   In April 2000, Ms. Judy Miller, President's consultant of the Hilon Humanitarian Foundation, spoke highly of Ren Xuping's contribution to the rabbit industry. She called Xuping "Your Majesty Rabbit King."
   31.   In May 2000, Chengdu City Education Committee recognized Xuping Rabbit Training School as the Advanced Group in 1998-1999.
   32.   In May 2000, Ren Xuping went to the DPRK to teach the flood victims how to raise rabbits,as invited by the DPRK Flood Rehabilitation Committee.
   33.   In December 2000, China Ministry of Agriculture rewarded Ren Xuping with the award of "China Agricultural Education."
   34.   In January 2001, Dayi County Bureau of Animal Husbandry recognized Ren Xuping as one of the "Ten Leaders in Industrializing Dayi Animal Husbandry."
   35.   In February 2001, Dayi Conty Committee and the County Government recognized Xuping as the "Big Seller in Agricultural products in 2000."
  36. Won the “Marketing Master Hand of Agricultural Products of Chengdu” on May 1, 2002.
   37. Won the “Ten Outstanding Youth of Dayi County” on May 4, 2002.
  38. Won the “Outstanding Young Farmers of Chengdu” on May 8, 2002.
  39. Mr. Xiao Qiang who is with the Sydney Morning Herald, Mrs. Xiao and Wu Yue, an assistant came to visit the rabbit farm. A report about Mr. Ren Xuping and his rabbit raising career written by Mr. Xiao was published on the Sydney Morning Herald on June 14, 2002.      40. Sichuan Xuping Rabbit Co. Ltd. was designated as the “Example of Science and Technique Demonstration Base” by Chengdu Bureau of Science and Technologies on August 5, 2002.
    41. Xuping Fine Breed Rabbit-raising Farm was assessed as “Example of Agricultural Science Star” by Chengdu Bureau of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry on September 11, 2002.
   42. To honor the achievement he had made, HPI China Office granted Mr. Ren Xuping a certificate of “First Prize of 2001” on September 28, 2002.
   43. The “The introduction of fine breed meat rabbit, cross-breed and industrialization operation model” co-researched by Chengdu Institute of Scientific and Technologic information, Dayi Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Sichuan Xuping Rabbit Co. Ltd., won the first prize of scientific and technologic achievement of Dayi County on October 30, 2002.
   44. The history of Sichuan Xuping Rabbit Co. Ltd. was broadcast by ITV of Thailand on December 2, 2002; Mr. Ren, at the invitation Thailand royalty and HPI Thailand visited Thailand and was spoken highly of by all circles of Thailand.
   45. The “The introduction of fine breed meat rabbit, cross-breed and industrialization operation model” co-researched by Chengdu Institute of Scientific and Technologic information, Dayi Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Sichuan Xuping Rabbit Co. Ltd., won the third prize of scientific and technologic achievement of Chengdu Municipal Government in February 2003.
   46. Mr. Ren Xuping was awarded the “11th Excellent Youth of Chengdu” by Chengdu Government and the media.
   47. CNN interviewed Ren on September 28, 2003.
   48. “Find breed meet rabbits’ introduction cross-breed, production and industrialized operation” undertaken by Sichuan Xuping Rabbit Co. Ltd. was included in the Sparkle Program at the state level on October 20, 2003.
   49. The Science and Technique Park was named “Modernized Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Base” respectively by Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Science & Technologies and Dayi County Bureau of Science & Technologies in November 2003.
    50.   The Science and Technique Park was recognized as “Dayi County Science Popularization Demonstration Base” by Dayi County Science Association in November 2003.      
    51.  The Science and Technique Park was awarded the “Advanced Private Education Center” by Chengdu Municipal Education Bureau, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Labor and Social Benefit, and Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs in December 2003.
    52. Mr. Jeffrey Moon, the consul general of the US Consulate in Chengdu and Mr. G. A. Donovan, consul of US Consulate in Chengdu met with Mr. Ren Xuping and Spoke highly of his effort in the noble course of reducing hunger and poverty in Asia Pacific Region on January 12, 2004.
    53. On March 3, 2004, Sichuan Xuping Rabbit Co. Ltd. won the “Marketing Master Hand of Agricultural Products of Chengdu”, an award set by Chengdu Municipal Government.
    54. HPI China Office Granted the Park “HPI China Program Training Base” on March 23, 2004.
    55. Ren got the honor of “Chengdu Hard-working Exemplar” on April 26, 2004.
      C    hina Rabbit King Mr. Ren Xuping has trained more than 300,000 students at both home and abroad in the last 21 years when he was involved with rabbit technical extension, fine quality rabbit production, marketting of commercial livestock and poultry, greenfood meat products. Most of his students have become rich through raising rabbits, some even millionaires. Mr. Ren has built up a strong marketing network based on his many students and business partners. He has sold more than 600,000 fine quality breeding rabbits, 5,000,000 commercial rabbits, and 100,000 goats and pigeons to many provinces, cities and profectures in China. He has also sold 2,000 fine quality breeding rabbits to the DPRK and Nepal.
          Mr. Ren has won honor for Sichuan and China. He has done outstanding contributions for the rabbit raising industry in China to getting closer to the World, and for the marketing tapping in international market. Because Ren Xuping has made brilliant achievements in getting many rural farmers to better life by raising rabbits in a scientific way, the government and Heifer International China Office have recognized him for many times, as detailed in the following: In the last 21 years, Ren Xuping has also been recognized by the Central Comminist Party, the Province and City leaders, such as Deng Xiaoping, Wan Li, Wang Zhen, Bo Yibo, Tan Qilong, Wang Zhaoguo, Song Defu, Yang Rudai, Zhang Haoruo, Zhang Zhongwei, Yang Chonghui, Tao Wuxian and Dayi County Goverment leaders. Xuping Rabbit Training School also welcomed visits by experts, enterpreneurs and farm owners in Heifer International China Program, the US, Canada, India, UK, DPRK, Ukraine, Uganda, Vietnam, Thailand, and Ireland.
